Assignment 2d in the link below
Divorce board game for 2 players. Be the first one to reach the finish line to win the divorce case.
Each player starts by drawing from shuffled decks, one card from the Objection pile and three cards each from the Complaint and Evidence piles. Roll the 4D1 to see who goes first.
The board is one path from start to finish with about 40 spaces and a 1D4 is rolled to advance. Whenever you land on a space, you can only do what it says if you got there due to a roll of the die. Every 2 spaces on the board is designated as a session in the courtroom based on a categorical issue, such as Family, Habits, Home, Job, and Love. When a player lands on it, they pick up a card from the shuffled deck of categorical issues for one of the above, they can decide if they want to start a session based on that issue; if they don’t then their turn ends.
If a session is started, it is because the player has a Complaint card that fits the designated issue and they want to use it at that moment. They place the Complaint card down and their opponent can decide if they can and want to participate in it; if they don’t, the other person automatically wins the session and moves their opponent back a space and draws a card (each issue card would say which (Obj, Comp, or Ev).
If the opponent does want to participate in the session, they must also have a Complaint card that fits the issue and they would use it to counteract. The other player can decide if they want to counteract as well. If they can and do want to, they can go back and forth with the argument cards but must have another Complaint card that fits with the issue. Or, they can decide to use an Objection card if they have one they want to use.
What the Objection card does is make their opponent use an Evidence card that fits with the issue if they want to use it or back out and the player wins the session. If they use the Evidence card, then the players go back and forth playing their Evidence and Objection cards that fit with the issue until one of them runs out or backs out.
Players can decide to back down and lose a session at any time when a session is going on, especially if they want to keep the cards in their hand for future use, but they will lose the session and the winner gets to send their opponent back a space and can draw a card(s) (each issue card would say which (Obj, Comp, or Ev).
Other spaces on the board would say you can move up a space, more rarely down a space, more rarely move up or down two spaces, earn one of the cards, lose a card. Get to the finish line first and you will win the court case!
Objection cards just say Objection.
